Dr. Laurie Blackman and Dr. Kathryn Krase, along with three Wurzweiler students—Joyce Roberson-Steele, Annette Clarke-Jones and Latoya Attis—and Dr. Donna Wang of Springfield College presented a poster at the Gerontological Society of America’s 2021 Annual Scientific Meeting, “,” held online from November 10-13, 2021.
Titled “Adaptability of Older Adults at the Onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic,” the data presented in the poster led to the conclusion that “the older a respondent, the more likely they were to agree with statements that they adapted to/coped with the COVID-19 outbreak, used the newspaper and TV news as a source of information, were able to evaluate information about COVID-19 based on the quality and source of the information, [and] experienced transportation challenges.”
