The pass is en-route to Punakha from Thimphu. Also, take a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang ‘the fertility temple’. The temple is dedicated to Drukpa Kunley. Rinpung dzong monastery and Kyichu Lhakhang are great places to visit while in Paro. Explore the beautiful Haa Valley closer to Paro. The hike to Taktsang monastery ‘Tiger’s Nest’ is the prime highlight of any Bhutan tour. The monastery is located outskirts of Paro town and perched in a vertical cliff. Your 5 Nights 6 Days Bhutan Tour starts with a scenic flight into the lush green Paro valley. En-route flight one can witness magnificent views of the world’s highest peaks including Mt. Everest in a clear weather. As you land Paro International Airport, the first gift from Bhutan will be the cool, clean fresh air as you step out of the plane. After clearing customs and visa issue, your guide shall meet you outside the airport and check you in hotel. Overnight Hotel (Lunch/Dinner)
In the morning, drive to the base camp of Taktsang to start the hike up to the Taktsang monastery (Tiger’s nest). It's an hour hike to the cafeteria which is a good view point from where enjoy the stunning view of the monastery. It's believed Guru Padmasambhava landed on the back of a tigress in the 8th century here and mediated. Hike further up to the monastery & explore around. Then hike downhill to the road point and drive to Thimphu. Overnight Hotel (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After lunch, go for Thimphu sightseeing visiting cultural & historical sites like 'National Memorial Chorten' with its golden spines shining in the sun which was built in honor of third King of Bhutan, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. Then drive up to 'Buddhas' point' with a biggest statue of Lord Buddha located atop hill with great view of Thimphu city. Then follows Motithang Mini-Zoo (home of the bizarre Takin, the national animal), the Weekly Centenary Farmers' Market with local produces (Friday, Saturday & Sunday). Afterwards, drive to Punakha which takes about 1 & half hour. En-route pass thru Dochu La Pass at 3,140 meters. The pass offers spectacular panorama of the Eastern Himalayas in a clear day. After the pass, the road descends through varied forest and finally emerging into the highly cultivated valley of Punakha. Overnight Hotel (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
In Punakha, visit the beautiful Punakha Dzong located at the confluence of the Pho-chu (male-river) and Mo-chu (female-river). The Punakha Dzong is arguably the most impressive dzong in the country. Then drive to Paro, en-route take a short hike through beautiful rice fields to Chimmi Lhakhang - the fertility temple dedicated to Drukpa Kuenley. Drukpa Kuenley as a favorite saint of the Bhutanese people is known affectionately as “the Divine Madman”. Overnight Hotel (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast drive over the Chelela pass (3899 m) from where you get a great view of the Himalayan Ranges and the valley beyond. After the pass drive to Haa Valley . Haa is made up of five counties and is closed to outside world until 2002. There is a military camp by the Indian Army. In Haa valley visit Wangchucklo Dzong which dates back to 1915, Lhakhang Nakpo (Black temple) is said to have been built by pigeon emanation of King Songtsen Gampo in the 7th century and Lhakhang Karpo (white temple). Afterwards, drive back to Paro. Overnight Hotel (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
